We are pleased to inform you of last week’s Spanish court victories. M1 Legal secured 7 results with a total amount awarded £162,902. Please find below our substantive results.

1st Court of Instance:

  • Club la Costa Sucursal - The nullity of the contract was determined by the lack of information regarding the contract length and accommodation details under Spanish law 04/2012, we won the court costs. £43,718 awarded.
  • Silverpoint - The claim was against Silverpoint and Resort Properties. The Lawyer made an "out of court" agreement with the administration of Silverpoint resulting in a positive result. We won the court costs. £46,254 awarded.
  • Anfi - The nullity of the contract was determined by the lack of information regarding the accommodation details under Spanish law 04/2012. We won the court costs. £20,179 awarded.
  • Club la Costa Sucursal - The nullity of the contract was determined by the lack of information regarding the contract length and accommodation details under Spanish law 04/2012. £23,773 awarded.
  • Club la Costa Sucursal - The nullity of the contract was determined by the lack of information regarding the contract length and accommodation details under Spanish law 04/2012. £13,111 awarded.

We also received another postitive initial result against Club la Costa and an Appeal submitted by Anfi which resulted in favour of our clients.

Jurisdiction Hearings:

5 Jurisdiction Victories valued at £88,170

M1 legal secured 5 jurisdiction victories last week, 4 against Club la Costa and 1 against Diamond Resorts. The defence challenged the cases being heard in Spanish jurisdiction. All cases will now proceed to the next step.
